slowly does the night of shadows fade
when upon the land the suns hand is laid
flowers lose the darkened robes of night
and stretch their petals to catch the light
diamond drops of dew sparkle for all to see
i watch this scene in wonder and awe
and yet  i can see even more
centre stage  the most beautiful sight to see
its beauty and grace cause me to bow on bended knee
even natures flowers fade by  such a sight
a unique thing of which there is but one
its beauty lasts when all the flowers are gone
to see this beauty that captures my heart
